  1. you know what’s cracking me up is ‘Online degree completion program preparing leaders for over 100 yrs’ , they were right, i mean what a buncha bs! =) i’m not sure if they mean to help leaders find a long lasting life of 100 yrs + or if the whole things a scam for claiming they’ve been online for over 100 yrs? …just saying!

  2. Bwahahaha!

That is all kinds of wrong.

    xo, Alli

  3. While I value my MA in Leadership from a Christian institution, I realize that there is a lot of leadership material that will help with the BS portion of that program.

  4. Actually, I think it’s kind of accurate. I wish I’d taken a class to deal with it. Maybe it would have helped. :)

  5. Im with Jan. :) Maybe we should suggest a mass sign up…this class could save some people alot of money for the years of therapy they will endure!!! Ha! Ha!

  6. Just sayin’ and well said.

  7. yep. Gotta be careful with posting Men’s or Women’s BS (Bible Study) in the morning. Here is another one: how do you abbreviate Assembly? :)

  8. Ever wonder why everyone doubts the significance of the church ?

When we are pushed information that just is full of bunk …. it creates doubt.
Doubt in the validity of the church, its people, its Savior, it’s gospel – and yes even its 100 year tradition of educating online… ;-)

Love the fact you had an eye to catch this !

  9. I think those guys got together this past Thursday& Friday!!! Hahaha said anti-Willow guy! At least pre-Hybels “we’ve done it all wrong” letter! Take it easy, I’m just kidding!

  10. bill – the abreviaton is ‘ass.’ don’t know why that’s so hard to imagine. a b.s. in christian leadership is actually very, very appropriate. most people i know in Christian leadership are really in sales – books, speaking, t-shirts, t.v., music – so it’s total b.s.

    sardonic, i know

  11. Thanks for a good Monday Am laugh.

  12. yep…gotta be careful. However, if a period had been put before the capital “P” in the word preparing, then it would have been more accurate. The school has been preparing leaders for over 100 years….just not online……a mistake, to be sure, but probably an hones one

  13. Hey, as an alum of the Christain Leadership school of BS I am offended by all the negativity. ;-)

  14. Ha! I, in fact, have a B.S. in Ministry Management. And most days, I kind of think that the whole phrase “ministry management” is B.S. Makes me twitch. Oh well, I’m done managing things that (in my mind) are just supposed to be a part of a holistic Jesus-following life and/or not necessary at all, and headed off to a (liberal in reputation) state university for my master’s in Higher Ed. Admin. Yay! :-)

  15. Ok, i suppose I should clarify, as that previous comment sounded really mean. I’m grateful for the different relationships that happened at Bible college, many that are still going strong, it’s just that working in actual “ministry management” /mega-church world isn’t for me. But I’m not everyone. :-)

  16. Honesty is important. At least they’re coming clean about what they offer :)

  17. If Leno still does it you should submit this to Headlines.

  18. I’m wondering what it is they are preparing leaders to do for the next 100+ years!?

  19. this is the leadership school i went to. so?

  20. What a riot!

Once when my mom was feeling down, she complained that even looking at the college degree she worked so hard for was no comfort. “It just says Kathleen Pitman, BS!”

    :)

  21. Just hopped over from Marc’s tweet. I got the joke. :)
