I don't think Jesus would vote. I would think he would think that the elections are a rather small part of what is really important. God said we could appoint people over us, but that was for our own good. I think the larger government has a much different agenda that what Gods vision was. I think Jesus would still be homeless and still be healing the broken, outcast and weary and not care much about what happening on CNN.

question: is jesus a jewish american voter? does he live in new york or florida? did he move from new york to florida? does he live in palm beach county? does he vote with the christian right or the jewish left? is he a conservative jew like dr. laura? or is he a democrat jew like lieberman, crossing over to support a republican candidate? does he vote pro-israel or pro-palestine since bethlehem is held by palestinians? would he be a guest on fox and friends and pontificate about the new hampshire primaries.

i'm having a hard time picturing it.

i think if he were political, he'd be crucified.

Hah! I know exactly what Jesus would do and who He would vote for! Whatever the Father told him to do, and whoever the Father wanted him to.
I also know exactly what he'd say about abortionists, pro-abortionists, people who get abortions, pro-lifers, illegal immigrants, immigration agents, gays, gays wanting to get married, people who want to stop gays from getting married, gay rights supporters, gaybashers, people who vote and even people who don't vote: "He who is without sin among you..."
I betcha he'd even sit down at a fundraiser with republicans, democrats, independents...
The question I'd like answered is, why will you vote? (grin)

of course Jesus would vote! we are told to pray for the government and follow laws...granted voting is not a law, but if you dont vote it may be hard to pray for the president....at least in my mind it would be.

I can't speak for Jesus, but I think people who love people as Jesus did should vote. Thank God for organizations like www.sojo.net and www.one.org who are educating people on real issues such and social injustice and extreme poverty. We need people in leadership positions that care about people more than power, prestige and wealth. May the church world wake up in our day to the fact that there are more issues than abortion and gay marriage. I think it is happening. May genuine change come to Washington this election.
